Smatt

Welcome to Smatt’s Code

Hi I’m Smatt.

Thank you for using your precious time to browse my little corner of the web.  I know in this fast paced world we all lead full, busy lives as such I would like to start by being as honest and upfront as I can…

I have a full time job and I’m married with 3 daughters who keep me busy, VERY BUSY!  So the updates may not be as often or as regular as I want, but I will do my best to provide useful and meaningful updates as often as I can.

This little corner of the web is my digital garden. This is a subset of my own Personal Knowledge Management System or 2nd Brain that I keep in an Obsidian vault. This collection of notes are ones I find useful and that I am happy to share publicly with you. However, some of them may link out to more personal or unfinished notes so you may come across links that either don’t go any where or are missing altogether.

Throughout my career I have always graciously used the wisdom of others. Be that in person, from blogs or that fountain of knowledge Stack Overflow. I have also tried to pay it forward by sharing my experiences and knowledge with those around me, either at work or techie meetups.

That’s what I want this digital garden to be. A place for me to share my knowledge and experiences with a bigger audience. The good, the bad, and purely for entertainment the ugly!

I’m very interested in the idea of “working with the garage door up.” So this digital garden is a place to share my adventures as they are happening so we can learn together. Or you can read about the pitfalls I will undoubtedly fall in (and avoid them) and use the shortcuts I (hopefully) find, so that in some small way your projects can benefit, or we just have a laugh along the way.

In case you’re interested you can read more [[about|about]] me.
